Ian McKittrick—Outreach Director


Ian McKittrick

Ian worked most-recently as a research assistant for the division of Cardiology at the University of Colorado, Denver, where he studied urinary MMP (matrix metalloproteinase) biomarkers for cardiovascular complications in diabetes. He enjoys playing bass guitar and has performed with the bands Neshamah and Gang Forward. He recently returned from a bicycle tour that took him from Canada to Mexico along the Pacific Coast, and he enjoys a variety of outdoor activities.

In his role as Outreach Director, Ian finds participants for SYS stories, builds relationships with the media, and organizes events.
